A recent infographic published by Carrington College has the Ad Age team "picking a few bones" - and I mean big time.
The illustration attempts to depict what the characters of the hit TV- show would earn nowadays, and how the industry and work environment would be like. As to the reasons why experts predict the fall of the advertising industry? Rapid changes, a decrease in customer attention, the rise of user-generated content and an increase in customer choice. All this coupled by a more diverse agency structure, and well, less tolerance for tobacco and alcohol.
"If you ask us, these folks need to hurry back to the drawing board and learn a thing or two about how Madison Avenue really functions today."
