Red Bull: A Brand that Reaches New Heights

Say hello to the biggest adrenaline rush in history. In an attempt to break the world record for the highest altitude jump and the longest time in free fall, Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner teamed up with Red Bull for what became a death-defying task and an internet sensation this past Sunday.

The energy drink sponsored the Austrian's feat of jumping from  a capsule 128,000 feet above the Earth and landing safetly on the ground in New Mexico in a mission dubbed "Red Bull Stratos." The live streaming racked up an impressive 8 million viewers moments before his epic jump.

If Red Bull doesn't give you wings, nothing else can. Well, perhaps only a space shuttle and a parachute. A great way to take the brand message to new heights. Soaring heights.

Unreal. Obviously, they wanted to rise above the noise in more ways than one.

But I want to know why the shuttle wasn’t in the shape of a Red Bull can?

That would’ve been the cherry on the this Sunday’s sundae…
